At Toorank International Spirits, we believe that every bottle should tell a story before the first drop is even poured. Today, we are proud to share a behind-the-scenes look at the visual identity of our newest brand: Errantes Whisky.

Errantes is built around a single, powerful concept: Freedom. To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with the renowned experts at Van Heertum Design (VHD). The result is a bottle that challenges traditional whisky aesthectics and embraces the spirit of modern explorer.

The Story of the ”Heroic Drifter”
The name Errantes literally translates to ”drifters”. However, in our story, the drifter is not lost, he is a hero, a rebel, and a explorer. He represents the person who refuses to be constrained by the pressures of modern city life, always seeking space, movement, and independence. Errantes is a whisky crafted for those moments of pause, offering a brief escape from the noise of the world. It is a tribute to those who dare to forge their own path.

Craftmanship on Glass
To capture this narrative, Rob van Heertum and his team pushed the boundaries of bottle production. Rather than using a traditional paper wrap-around label as the primary feature, the heart of the design is a highly detailed illustration printed directly onto the glass.

The Narrative: On the bottle, you see a mysterious wanderer walking away from a dense urban structure toward the open space of freedom. By printing this directly onto the glass, the hero and the whisky become one inseparable entity.

The Palette: The design uses a sophisticated core of black and gold. Using cutting-edge printing techniques, the gold tones achieve a richness that rivals real foil, providing a tactile, luxery feel that catches the light beautifully.

The Balance: To ensure the illustration remains the ”hero”, the physical label is kept intentionally understated and calm. It serves as an anchor, framing the Errantes brand name without competing for attention.
